Why do we need your data?
The Cultural Affairs Office processes personal data based on one of the following legal grounds:
1. Consent from you/the data subject. This consent can be withdrawn at any time, without prejudice to the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal;
2. Execution of a (support) agreement or preparation for it;
3. Legal obligations arising from, among others, the Social Support Act, Youth Act, Work and Income (Capacity for Work) Act (WIA), Wajong (Young Disabled Persons Act), Sickness Benefits Act, Unemployment Act, and the Participation Act, such as the obligation to maintain records and register the Citizen Service Number (BSN);
4. A legitimate interest, such as improving quality, organization, and business operations.
How long do we retain data?
The Cultural Affairs Office will not retain your personal data longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data is collected. The Cultural Affairs Office applies the following retention periods:
1. Wmo (Social Support Act) file data: at least 15 years;
2. Youth Act file data: at least 20 years;
3. Reintegration file: at least 2 years (20 years for medical data);
4. (Financial) administrative data: 7 years;
In addition, we retain your data for a period of twelve months after termination in connection with satisfaction surveys by the Employee Insurance Agency (UWV).
Sharing with others
The Cultural Affairs Office does not share your data with third parties and will only provide it if this is necessary for the execution of our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation. The Cultural Affairs Office remains responsible for these processing operations.
The Cultural Affairs Office may engage service providers (processors) to process personal data, who process personal data solely in accordance with the instructions of the Cultural Affairs Office.
